Dear Students,
I am very sorry for the delay in grades. The truth is I couldn't actually figure out the answers to the estates questions. Wow! They were complicated. I thought they were easy as I wrote them on my red-eye flight back from LA, but then I read them over as you were taking the test, and realized they were far more convoluted and nuanced than any example I had ever given you during the school year! Ha ha! Damn, they were tough! Anyway, after reviewing the problems for several weeks now, I think I have the answers, so I will try to grade the tests again, and give you your grades.

ok, just got my property grade. i'll post the final menlovian entry late night tonight.
in the meantime, try not to post too many nasty things about your profs here. i still have to delete them.

I am not going to say anything nasty (although I want to) What I WILL say is that my grade was very disproportionate to what I thought it would be.

anyone know where the 50% mark is normally at?
the gpas start to get tight once you get below 10% - not a lot of difference between 15% and 30%. so, 50% is hard to say.
anyone have any other numbers from last year or reasonable estimates of this year?

my gpa is a 4.33. i got all straight a's. my class rank is #1. at harvard. and yale. they just added me because i'm so incredibly eloquent and intelligent.

a note on donations.
uh, some of us didn't start work until last week, which means that we don't get paid until the 24th, which means that we're very poor until then.
please remember that when you're setting a deadline. thank you.
word of advice on class ranks...they are the most important thing EVER in your entire life. flip out now and stress yourself out as much as you can. since you have absolutely no control over your rank being that grades are in, this should help out. really. if you do not get in the top 10%, you might as well pack it in and save your tuition dollars. while it should be obvious to those of you who are mathematically inclined, this goal is not possible for 90% of you. now re-read that last sentence. exactly.
Since somebody went oldskool on menlove, I have to say, STFU about the grades and the rankings. You are where you are and it's over. Finally. Deal. You did well? that's great? keep it to yourself. You didn't do so great? well, chances are, you're still not a menlove... after all... you might not be the best law student... but there's no friggin way you're gonna overstack your hayrick! You can always console yourself with that knowledge.
course, the pile of trash in my kitchen is starting to reach menlovian proportions....

i'm being completely sincere. i just got a phone call, which i followed with a call to a very good friend in our class who is ranked above me, and who has not gotten the call yet. so, i don't know what order they're going in.
